Neorealism in Film:

In class on Friday we started the film Bicycle Thieves, that in my confined and limited knowledge of Neorealism, is in fact an example of one put into cinematic form. Very interesting structure and fluidity of storytelling. After researching more about the film movement, the stories are mainly focused on the working class or poor, using almost all non-actors and filmed on location. Although it doesn't correlate to Italian cinema, one of my favorite films that deals with the struggles of economic crisis and moral conditions during the World War II era is It's a Wonderful Life. Would love to watch more films in the format of Neorealism soon.
